Re-read the notes on Kahir's ideas concerning the translation process and types of translations. Then re-read Susan Orleans' foreword to the working script of <em>Adaptation. </em>With these readings in mind, reflect upon the books and films we have studied thus far. Consider your reactions and observations of these films.<br /><br />What makes a successful and effective film translation? What are three evaluative criteria that you think are essential for assessing a film translation?
